IcFEM Mission's strategy is, through the established interchristian fellowships to form youth committees both at village (Fellowship) level and at community (Local Transformation Unit) level. The committees are trained and mandated to identify the youth needs in the community, develop a vision and engage the young people in the wholistic transformation.

Goal:
The IcFEM Youth ministry aims at empowering youth co-ordinators, Assistant co-ordinators and facilitators from the Local Transformation Units.Objectives:
These include Youth and Godliness, Youth and Work, Youth and Government:
- To develop the IcFEM Youth ministry frame work in the field units.
- To develop godliness among the youths.
- To enhance life skills and entrepreneurship training and exposure among the youths.
- To improve youth leaders leadership ability.
- To improve the youth's own leadership ability.
- To enable the youth in understanding of government policies that affect their day to day lives and their respective involvement.
- To improve youth health.
- To improve sports and recreation among the youth.
- To improve the youth's concern for the needy.
- To improve and increase access to support services with particular focus on innovations and/or research to meet the youth's needs.
- To increase communication and collaboration in delivery of services to the youth.
- To promote unity among the young people.
- To promote and establish sustainable livelihood projects.
- To provide youth with a grass root structure for better utilisation of available resources.
- To increase access to rural micro financial services for subsistence farmers particularly targeting the youth.
- To promote off farm activities with particular focus to supporting establishment of micro enterprises.
- To promote and sustain youth savings and credit schemes.
Strategy:
- To establish the youth ministry Transformation programme structure.
- Mobilisation and sensitisation through Youth fellowships.
- School dropouts/leavers/college leaver's strategy.
- Schools - both primary and secondary.
- Youth groups.
- Partnership and collaboration.
- Other IcFEM relevant programmes.
- Liaise with relevant government ministries i.e. ministry of youth and ministry of social services, sports and gender.
- Liaise with learning institutions i.e. university colleges, tertiary colleges and polytechnics.
- Liaise with relevant NGOs, Churches, Trusts, foundation and charities.
- The mission shall overall aim at empowering the youth leadership through training. This will foster effective planning, implementation, coordination and evaluation of the youth ministry transformation process at the grass roots.
- Raising role models in various fields.
Activities:
The youth ministry shall be involved in the following activities:
- Praying for the work
- Preparing weekly, quarterly and yearly work plans and budgets.
- Organising and engaging the youth in gospel outreaches.
- Involve youths in Discipleship activities.
- Start and develop youth fellowships.
- Organizing youth forums.
- Provide relevant seminars, workshops and conferences.
- Perform a baseline survey for youth needs identification and assessment.
- Arrange meetings, liaising and networking with other relevant agencies to address issues and promote opportunities for the young people.
- Engage the youths in recreational and sporting activities.
- Researching and fundraising for youth activities.
- Interactions through visits.
- Holiday clubs at Local Transformation Unit Levels.
- School weekend challenges.
- Provide positive information that is youth friendly.
- Provide programmes to challenge the youth and community leadership.
- Provide training in apprenticeship and entrepreneurship.
- Establish and/or link up the youth to industrial parks with various trades for skill development.
- Provide health services for the young people.
- Identify and engage the youths in various community projects.
- Identify and raise role models.
- Organise and involve the youth in talent shows.
- Plan for exposure tours and visits.
